Edit Strings Menu

Overview

The Utilities > Edit Strings menu includes two commands for editing strings used by TMG to GEDCOM as it exports a GEDCOM file. Strings are sequences of characters, often words and phrases, that are visible to the person reading the site.

• The All Exports... command edits string values that will apply to any GEDCOM file you export unless that string is reset by an entry in a Current Folder... file.
• The Current Folder... command edits string values that will apply to any export you make where the TMG to GEDCOM file is in the same folder as the current TMG to GEDCOM file.

String files are specific to a language. When you use either command above, you will be editing a file that is specific to the language chosen by the Language.GEDCOM Language property.
