TMG to GEDCOM includes a template for exporting from TMG into Family Tree Maker (FTM).

Janis Rodriguez created the original version of this template and tested with FTM 2017.

Tags

FTM does not support shared events, so the template sets Tags.Export to "Cloned event" or "Cloned attribute" for many TMG Tag Types.

The template sets Tags.Note Option to Copy to text (truncate) for many TMG Tag Types.

FTM produces better results when TMG's Memo text is copied to the Text field of GEDCOM event tags. That is not valid GEDCOM, but the template author thought the results were better using that option.

Fact Notes in FTM 2017 are not transferred when syncing with an Ancestry.com tree.
